The March Meeting of the Acorns (over sixties) was well attended. The Reverends David and Elsie Howells showed slides of their journey in the steps of Saint Paul. The scenery was spectacular and the remains of many ancient buildings was amazing. They were thanked by Val White who said it was a most appropriate subject as it was now Holy Week.
Arrangements were made for a visit to the Donkey Sanctuary then on to the town of Sidmouth on Wednesday June 25th.
There was an excellent raffle organised by Rosemary Goff and Joan Aldworth and refreshments were served by Mary Hawkins and Margaret Attwood.
Members were sad to say goodbye to their Chairman Vi Lee who has moved to Exmouth. She was presented with a planted basket as a token of appreciation for all she has done over the years.
The next Meeting will be on April 16th at 2.45pm when Brian Clist will enlighten members on 'Hemyock Beginnings'. Visitors will be most welcome.
