More than 30 members of Hemyock Men visited Somerset County Ground last Saturday.
Welcomed by Richard Gould the cricket club's chief executive, the men heard about current and future plans for the cricket team (who finished bottom last year) and also for the ground, both of which were receiving significant investment.
The party was entertained in the Deane Suite the balcony, which looked out over the green where Somerset were playing Gloucestershire, a match which the home side won by six wickets.
Hemyock Men's coordinator Steven Reed said: "We are very grateful for Richard's invitation and have gained a real insight into the way Somerset functions within the national game. It was a super day out and much enjoyed by the group."
